Western hobby – Reenactment

The historical group of the Colorado Ranchers cultivates the traditions of the North American colonists era. If Indians, trapper, mountain man, Army North or South, farmer or cowboy, all are represented within our group.

Design of our outfits
All has to be reconstructed and made in line with the history of the outfits. To be in at a western come-together, it is not enough to wear jeans and a checked shirt. You have to be prepared to do more for your outfit. As a beginner in this group you have to rely on your club companions who already have more experience and know where you can buy the material you need to design your own outfit. Moreover, they know all about the leather technique and how to weave and embroider pearls. Also stitching is very popular within our group. Moreover, we design farmer and ball dresses as well as simple linen shirts by ourselves.

In order to make it easier for beginners, we organise an open day where you can get some additional information and where you can have a look at some outfits and objects.

The black powder riflemen cultivate this historical tradition and attend reenactment events especially organised for black powder riflemen.

Our hobbyists also participate regularly in camps organised by associations we are friendly with and are always happy to strengthen contact to other interested people.

Come and have a look!
